2. Shock horror, LFC won't be spending much in the summer transfer window. Hardly news, though. We all know that a) they are skint, b) the current owners are only in it for the TV money, c) they are going to take a massive haircut on Carroll and because of that, d) they will take the profit on Suarez to help balance the books (they do like to fall back on "net spend", those scousers). I can't see how he expects the whole not spending to get him into the top four, next season. The truth is, it won't. Earlier this season, Rodgers was aiming for 2nd. That was ludicrous. Earlier this week he was extolling the virtues of no European football being a massive help with their ability to move back up the table. Someone should just tell him to talk about team matters and only team matters...................................if he has to talk at all. Silence would be preferable.
