Rodgers wants 'five or six' signings this summer -
“It’s absolutely right to say the squad isn’t big enough. It needs to be improved.
“The owners recognise that as well. They have been great. They have entrusted me to come into the club and put my football vision in place.
“They want something that is sustainable. They have brought a manager in who will, hopefully, be here a long time.
“They know the number of players we want and the profile of those players, and it is clear that we need an injection of quality at the club this summer.
“It’s hard to define numbers, but it is clear it will have to be something like five or six.”

"It is a World Cup summer, so most of the best players are going to be in Brazil for a while, but it is the same for everyone else and our recruitment team has already started work. The owners recognise that we will need an injection of quality for next year and I know the profile of the players we will need.
"We are already putting plans in place so it will be the total opposite of my first season here, when players didn't report back until quite late after the Euros and I only had a short space of time to put across my ideas and methods. I had no real time to work then so it was difficult to be at a new club. This summer, we have an established playing style and new players will be able to come in and immediately know what we are all about."

1) Does this just about end Liverpool Chances of Winning the League?
BR: Winning the League is what City and Chelsea are trying to do
with the amount of money they have spent. For Me its about Growing This Massive Club., Teaching the Values of what it means to play
for Liverpool FC.
2) So your chances of Winning the League are gone?
BR; 36 Games in and Liverpool FC are in the mix, Challageing for a Title, thats what
Liverpool FC is all about. So Proud of our Players and what they have achieved, just a Wonderful accomplishment.
3) So you think City will Win it?
BR: I think theres alot of pressure on Both City and Chelsea! They have to win the Title! For us its Been a
one Game at a Time approach, we dont look ahead. We expect to get 3 points everytime we play. We shall see who Wins the League
