Federico Cherubini’s belief that Federico Chiesa won’t be a long-term player for Juventus has left fans concerned, especially with Liverpool maintaining their interest.
The Bianconeri sporting director told former president Andrea Agnelli in an intercepted phone call that “Chiesa doesn’t seem to me the profile of a player who can stay many years at Juve, due to his entourage very much searching for substantial financial gains.”
The quote has caused an outcry amongst some Juventus fans, many of whom consider Chiesa to be a key figure for Juventus in the post-Agnelli era, especially after he rejected an approach from Liverpool in 2020 to join the Bianconeri.
Calciomercato.com highlights how doubts surrounding Chiesa’s future in Turin are justified, despite his star status to Juventus. Liverpool are still seriously interested in the 25-year-old winger and made another attempt to sign him in the summer of 2021, reportedly preparing a lucrative offer.
Maurizio Arrivabene, when speaking to then FCO Stefano Cerrato, shared his criticisms of Juventus’ Under-23 squad, now known as the Next Gen team, saying: “The idea that I have is that it’s a bandwagon that we created… I’ll tell you this out of the blue, we created that because we didn’t know where to put the players anymore.”
When speaking to Stefano Bertola, sporting director Federico Cherubini expressed frustration with Massimiliano Allegri’s usage of young players, commenting: “And then you have to deal with Allegri, if once every 40 games he has to play one, he will play one of the under-23s… so much so that Max first plays one of the under-23s.”

Без разлика што го поништија голов на Фиорентина, Алегри ќерка ти вака кај мене да ја затвориш исто како што ја затвараш играта од 60 минута, пичко една проќељавена.... во време кога ни требаат бодови како никогаш до сега, ти со резултат 1:0 решаваш да ја умртвиш играта, ѓубре едно безобразно умрено. Не дека немам против Алегри, ама и играчите на моменти реагираат како аматери, Влахович во прво полувреме можеше да постигне гол, но не ја пратеше акцијата до крај.
