Update:
Manchester United's veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs is a man who likes to get angry, it seems, at least whilst he's at work.
The evergreen winger is one of football's more mild-mannered characters off the field, but it seems that an old-fashioned training ground bust-up is something he finds comes in handy at United, especially when tiredness is beginning to take its toll.
"The best way to deal with fatigue is to get angry. The same goes for the rare occasions when training is a bit flat," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"You’ll see someone start an argument and that will get the session going again. It’s ridiculous when people go on about training ground bust-ups because it’s been like that every Friday for nearly 19 years I’ve played professional football.
"Training is so competitive the day before a game that there are always arguments."
Giggs also attributes his legendary longevity in the game to the changes he made in his lifestyle when he entered his 30's, with a better diet and an avoidance of alcohol allowing him to stay in competitive shape.
"After I turned 30 I decided to change my lifestyle a lot. Stop drinking and watch the food I ate," he added.
"There wasn’t a specific moment. I just wanted to keep playing to the highest standard for as long as I could. I knew that would require certain sacrifices.
"During my 20s my favourite meal was steak and chips or chicken and chips. I didn’t even like fish when I was younger, but now if I go out I almost always have it."
Thirty-five-year old Giggs has now spent 19 years at Old Trafford, winning 11 Premier League titles, two European Cups and four FA Cups, as well as picking up last season's PFA Player of the Year award. :bravo:lee::music3:
