Breno's Father Backing Bayern The coveted young centre-back who was a bulwark in the conquest of the Brasileirгo 2007 after exploding onto the scene in January seems to be leaning towards a move to FC Hollywood if his father has anything to do with it...
44 year-old Clбudio Francisco Borges, father of 18 year-old Breno, is still under contract to the Brazilian league champions but has received a rising amount of interest from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and even Fiorentina.
The Sгo Paulo emerging star has also received a personal thumbs-up from his dad after Bayern idol Franz Beckenbauer gave him a private tour of the facilties and city. "I'm ready to take the kid there. From what I've seen it's a great idea for Breno to join Bayern", he explained to Lance!
"That's no disrespect towards Sгo Paulo, but they really have some incredible instalations there and I also talked a lot with Zј Roberto (ex-Santos), and analysed everything that I had seen before coming to this conclusion", stressed Clбudio Francisco.
Bayern could buy Breno out of his current contract for $18,000,000, 65% going to the club and the remainder to the agent and player. According to his father both Real Madrid and AC Milan are further behind as "They wouldn't field him as a starter with the squads they have."
"That means they'd probably be looking to loan him out and that's just not what we want. Plus the only concrete proposal that's come through has been from Bayern", he concluded, putting the player very close to a definitive move to Bavaria and the Bundesliga.
