Dida – 8: Let down by his defenders for the Menez goal; however he was the saviour for his side on the night. Tremendous save to deny De Rossi what would have been a spectacular goal on 23 minutes. Stood tall to block a one on one with Vucinic soon after, before making a great save to deny a Riise free kick on 61 minutes.
Oddo – 6.5: Got forward as often as he could, but failed to have any major impact. Worked well with Abate on the right in the first half nonetheless.
Thiago Silva – 6.5: Huge mistake at failing to successfully back pass, which allowed Menez to score the first of the night. With exception to that, he was very composed alongside Nesta once again.
Nesta – 8: Didn’t put a foot wrong all match, and he kept the Milan back four together in the first half. Won the penalty, which was converted by Ronaldinho, and should definitely consider a return to the Italian national team for next year’s World Cup.
Zambrotta – 6: Struggled with the pace of the Roman attacks at times, especially those involving the lively Menez.
Abate – 6.5: Worked tirelessly down the right in the first half, and he continued to be one of the few shining lights for his side this term. Was forced to make way for Inzaghi at the break though, due to a change in shape.
Pirlo – 6.5: Smashed an effort over the bar on 30 minutes, and was the anchor of the Rossoneri midfield, despite not having the most dominant of performances on the night.
Ambrosini – 4.5: Clumsy showing by the Rossoneri captain, who gave away a countless number of fouls, and was unsurprisingly sent off in the final 10 minutes of play.
Seedorf – 6.5: Provided fairly decent service for his team-mates, and had a huge chance to put his side ahead on 64 minutes, however he opted to chip an effort from a Pato cut back.
Pato – 7.5: Had a great effort to control and shoot on the half hour mark, however despite getting into a good position, he was nudged off the ball by Burdisso. Made amends for this by scoring to put his side ahead on 67 minutes, with great control and poise to skip past Riise and Doni, allowing him to hit the ball into an unguarded net.
Ronaldinho – 8: Saw a decent effort from a free kick sail inches over the bar on 27 minutes, and then burst into life in the second half, scoring the equaliser from the penalty spot on 56 minutes, and providing a glorious assist for the Pato goal, with a long ball from half way.
