Matteo Darmian will undergo a medical to complete his €12m transfer from Manchester United to Juventus, claim Sportitalia.

The full-back was spotted in Milan today and is expected to have his medical tests tomorrow in Turin.

A deal has been worked out several days ago worth a total of €12m.

It is a return to Italy and to this city for Darmian, who was sold by Juve’s rivals Torino for €18m in 2015.

He struggled for regular playing time and this season managed two assists in 17 competitive games for United.

Now 28, Darmian is prized for his versatility, as he can play at right-back, left-back, central defence or in a more advanced wing-back role of a five-man midfield.



Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has been pictured meeting with Cagliari, reportedly to discuss Han Kwang-song.

The North Korean striker scored seven goals in 17 Serie B games while on loan at Perugia, and was recalled to Sardinia in January.

It was believed he would then be sold on to the Bianconeri, but he remained with Cagliari for the rest of the season.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website has pictures of Paratici meeting with his opposite number Marcello Carli.

They are thought to have discussed Han, while there could also be talks over Nicolo Barella, Rolando Mandragora, and Emil Audero.



Juventus will reportedly meet with the entourage of Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini to discuss a summer transfer.

The Italian international has a €25m release clause in his contract, and it’s though that is valid for Italian clubs.

According to calciomercato.com, the Bianconeri have already discussed a potential transfer with his entourage, who were concerned about the signing of Emre Can.

It was feared that the 21-year-old wouldn’t see much playing time, but Juve have offered assurances that he will get his chance.

In addition, Roma are closing in on the signing of Bryan Cristante, which would create more competition for Pellegrini at his current club.

A new meeting is scheduled with the midfielder’s representatives, and the champions are considering paying his release clause.

The Old Lady will look to sell players first, but when they do turn to purchases Pellegrini will be near the top of the list.

Juventus could sign Milan Badelj on a free transfer from Fiorentina, according to reports.

The midfielder is out of contract on June 30, and has decided not to renew with the Viola.

Juve could sell both Claudio Marchisio and Stefano Sturaro this summer, which would leave them short of depth in midfield.

According to Premium Sport, the Bianconeri are considering making an offer to Badelj, who would be a low-cost reinforcement.

Lazio have reportedly rejected an opening bid of €80m from Juventus for midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milinkovic-Savic has a valuation closer to €130m, given he still has four years left on his contract.

However, the newspaper notes talks ‘have only just begun’ and that Juve could offer players in exchange, while Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United ‘remain at the shop window’.

It comes just two days after Aquile President Claudio Lotito claimed the Bianconeri ‘couldn’t afford’ the Serbian.

There are growing reports Pipita is on the market just two years after he was signed from Napoli for €90m.

“It’s very difficult to judge the transfer market in a World Cup year,” said one of the heirs to the Agnelli empire.

“Anything can happen. We’ll see after the World Cup, but there’s not much I can say now.”

There are reports of a potential move to Chelsea, although that seems to have fallen apart with talks for Coach Maurizio Sarri abandoned.

Another alternative mentioned by Tuttosport and the Corriere dello Sport is an exchange with Mauro Icardi, Juve adding €50m to the offer, but that seems improbable.




Emre Can has agreed a four-year contract with Juventus and will undergo a medical next week, but Matteo Darmian’s situation isn’t so clear-cut.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the former Liverpool midfielder has worked out the final details with Juve and his medical is set for the next few days.

He is out of contract with the Reds and therefore a free agent.

However, the same source maintains that Darmian’s arrival is a little more complicated than at first thought.

Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio notes Manchester United are still asking for €20m and Juventus remain firm on their offer of €12m.

Darmian is in Italy, as he was filmed in Milan yesterday, but negotiations are continuing.
