[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Fabrizio Miccoli has told Juventus that he’s unwilling to join Porto given his time on loan with rivals Benfica.

The striker is set to return to parent club Juve at the end of this season and whispers claim that he may be offered to Porto as part of a proposed swoop to sign Pepe.

However, the Italian has this evening warned the Old Lady directors that such a move will not be given his seal of approval.

”I’ve read the reports about me being included in a Pepe swap,” noted the Lecce-born fantasista. ”Nevertheless, if I continue to play my football over here then it will only be with Benfica.”

It’s unclear at this stage what Juventus will do with Miccoli once their return to Serie A has been confirmed.

Although he extended his Turin contract until 2010 last autumn, the former Perugia sensation may be sacrificed on the market.

Juve are keen to sign Pepe given his excellent performances in central defence for Porto over the last two seasons.

Eve neshto i za Buffon

Juventus chief Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has repeated that he does not intend to sell Gianluigi Buffon to fund the club’s transfer campaign.

The World Cup winner was one of the players who accepted to stay in Serie B to help revive the side, but has warned the Bianconeri that he is yet unsure about his future.

Recent rumours had suggested that the Old Lady might decide to cash in on the goalkeeper in order to invest in new signings, but the news was denied by director general Jean-Claude Blanc.

”We will meet Buffon at the end of the season, but we have never considered the idea of selling him,” said Cobolli Gigli.

”We want to continue our relationship with Gianluigi and I don’t think there is any offer that might make us change our minds. Buffon is a decisive player for us and we will not let him go,” added the President.

”The summer market? We don’t need to sell our champions to fund the campaign. We have the money needed to do well, we can count on the increase in capital and on the sale of some of our younger players.”

Saturday’s match with Bologna started with a group of fans staging a protest against sporting director Alessio Secco and the current administration calling them ‘amateurs’.

However, Cobolli Gigli has again confirmed his trust in his staff and in Coach Didier Deschamps.

”I can understand that some fans are disappointed, but we have never thought of letting Deschamps or Buffon go.

”The Coach has been confirmed and I believe he deserves to sit on the bench next year, after accepting to play a season in Serie B,” explained the official.

”I wasn’t happy with the supporters’ protest, but they are free to speak.

”In any case we have trust in Roberto Bettega and Secco, they will keep on working to strengthen Juventus and make it competitive in view of next year,” concluded Cobolli Gigli.

The Bianconeri need to win three points to celebrate their mathematical return to top-flight football, with four matches still to play before the end of the campaign.

Eve neshto za Chivu i Juve :)

Cristian Chivu’s agent has categorically denied reports that the Roma ace has agreed terms with Juventus for next season.

The Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport claimed this morning that the defender would be heading to the Old Lady after allegedly already holding talks.

But Andrea Pretti has this afternoon rubbished the report after insisting the there has been no contact with Juve or anyone else.

”We have often had to comment on groundless news regarding Chivu over the past few years,” Pretti told Retesport.

”There is no agreement with Juventus and we have not discussed a new contract with any Italian or foreign club,” added the Romanian’s representative.

”We have always behaved correctly and we would immediately inform Roma if we were to receive an offer.”

The defender, signed from Ajax in 2003, has been associated with a host of clubs in the past such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter and Milan.

However, Pretti claims that he’s about to start talks with the capital giants over a contract extension seeing as Chivu’s deal expires in 2008.

”We have not discussed any numbers with Roma, but I honestly don’t think this renewal will represent a problem,” he added.

”I am sure we will reach an agreement which will satisfy all the parties involved fairly soon.”

Едвај чекам да го видам првиот тим на Јувентус во новата сезнона. Не можам да дочекам да ги видам засилувањата кои ќе пристигнат во редовите на старата дама. :zlo:
