The German press have claimed that Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose and Fiorentina's Luca Toni are finalising switches to Bayern Munich. The pair have been linked with Bayern for some time but are understood to be preparing summer exits with the off-colour Bundesliga giants heading the queue.
Bayern are keen to change things around after a disappointing season that saw them knocked-out of the Champions League in the quarter finals and lying a poor fourth, nine points off the top and seven off third with three games remaining.
Toni, 29, is widely expected to leave Fiorentina in the summer, who are nonetheless still challenging for a UEFA Cup place despite their points deduction for match-fixing at the beginning of the season.
The main protagonists in his move have been mooted as Internazionale - who have just wrapped-up a second consecutive Serie A title - and off-colour Bayern Munich.
Bild say that "Super-Toni" has already begun looking for a house in Munich, anticipating an accord with Bayern.
Sueddeutsche Zeitung claims that the World Cup's top scorer Klose, 28, is also being lined up to partner Toni. The former Kaiserslauten striker has been tipped to move from Werder since coming runner-up in the goalscoring stakes to Ronaldo at the 2002 World Cup.
Barcelona's interest seems to have cooled and Bayern head the list of suitors, with Klose admitting to and apologising for meeting with the club last week.
Bild say that Bayern have offered Klose two different contracts to muse over.
