Тhough people may like Season 3, and that's fine, it's clearly not the best season, from an objective standpoint. First of all, there was too much tap-dancing. In this season more than any other it is clear that the producers had no idea when something was going to happen, no idea what was going to happen next, no idea who was doing what, etc. We'd get one episode featuring Jack and Kate and Sawyer, and they'd disappear for the next two. The people at the beach were rarely seen, and the only ones who had a story of any kind were Desmond and Charlie. Just look at the lead-in to the finale, that's a prime example. In Season 1, we'd been building to the finale nearly the entire year. The hopes of rescue had been evident since Day 1, the hatch was introduced in the first half of the season, and the raft itself had been part of the show for nearly as long. In Season 2, the button story was introduced in the first three episodes, and the idea of "what will happen if it's not pushed" was present until the end of the season, so the tension was going up and up and up. Then look at Season 3. There's never any indication that Ben wants all the pregnant women until One of Us, there's never any indication that the survivors have a chance at being rescued until D.O.C, and the only part of the finale that didn't come out of nowhere was the Charlie story. Everything else was rushed, and wasn't set up properly.
There's also a noticeable increase in the number of filler episodes. Further Instructions is ultimately pointless, since Eko dies two episodes later, SIASL is filler, TTiD is filler, Par Avion is filler, Expose is filler, and D.O.C is mostly filler. That's nearly a third of the season that can be classified as filler, and that's not counting the episodes that are just average, like Tale of Two Cities, I Do, Not in Portland, The Man from Tallahassee, and One of Us.
I think that because the last four episodes of Season 3 were so good (and MBTC and GH are bordering on average, for me), people just think the whole season was great, when it wasn't. Season 3 doesn't have the complete narrative from beginning to end like Season 1, or the intensity, drama, mystery, and character development of Season 2. As fun as it is to watch some of the Season 3 episodes, I think it's the worst of the three seasons by far. My opinion, of course.(само последново би кажал, мене 3та сезона ми беше прилично исто добра и лоша колку и втората )
