Seth, get back to webcamming. :-P I think this is pretty interesting, and proves that children can learn more than standard schools will allow them to. If you give a child an opportunity to show an interest is something, and help them to learn it, they will always surprise you.

As a professional developer who has worked with dozens of network admins my reaction is this says more about Microsoft's testing than the 8 year old. When an 8 year old cracks RSA encryption or designs a hot new algorithm I MIGHT concede to the Mozart comaprison. Until then he's merely a parrot.

Sorry, but learning which options to click on a computer after being given a handbook by your computer school-owning parents is hardly comparable to creating some of the most brilliant melodies ever heard from nothing except Mozart's own spirit and mind.
