Letter to Recep Tayyip Erdogan
Dear Prime Minister Erdogan,
I express my regrets that I cannot find time to meet with you and welcome you to our ancient Dardan lands in Kosovo.
As a statesman with whom I share essential political stances, you understand better than anyone the importance of an electoral campaign for a politician running in a country that has ancient political practices stemming from the Middle Ages. As you know, in such a political environment, the leader is the beginning and the end of every thought and action for the party; without the leader’s presence, the political party cannot take any further steps, and may not even exist.
The two of us have many things in common. Your approach to green spaces throughout Turkey, especially Gezi Park, stands in full compliance with the Strong Party’s program. We understood how unimportant public green spaces are, and, in compliance with your plan, consider that a more profitable solution should be found.
I felt very bad when these progressive ideas were not understood by the marginal group of delinquents, vagabonds and hipsters, who are nothing but brainwashed individuals indoctrinated in western schools. Upon returning to their native countries, they brought with them their degenerative habits like expressing love with kisses, or consuming harmful alcoholic substances.
All of this was disguised under the cloak of the ‘Freedom of Expression’. Freedom of Expression takes its central form only when it is controlled by and in harmony with governmental politics. This is done to protect this freedom, which is threatened from all sides. Therefore, to protect it, we will follow your example of controlling it. Where there is no control there can be no freedom, there can only be anarchy. Freedom is realized only through control.
By controlling and protecting it, the Freedom of Expression functions for the protection, promotion and glorification of the leader’s authority. This point unites us as leaders. In order for the society to function as a closed organic community, it needs a strong and authoritative leader, as a marker of its internal organization. The Strong Party and I are fully committed to maintaining and advancing the status, authority and glorification of the Leader.
I am pleased that I can, at least, welcome you to Kosovo through this letter, and I especially congratulate you on the Turkish-French consortium that has invested and managed Prishtina airport in such a perfect manner. Here I want to emphasize the brave act of the Lima/Lyon Company that, despite investing tens of millions, has decided to lower the rent of the buildings and other spaces in the airport to a considerably lower level than before the concession.
With this action, Limak/Lyon is risking working at a loss only so that Kosovars can enjoy lower rents and cheaper services at the airport. And what more can a brother do for a brother?
I sincerely believe that Turkey and Kosovo, as two brotherly countries with strong governments, are of a special value to the European Union. Delaying our integration in this Union will only be a loss to Europe, not to our countries.
At this time, I feel it’s necessary to emphasize my stance as a reply to the jealous and malicious voices that criticize Turkish investment in Kosovo.
We have significant interest in Turkish companies, because these companies understand and embrace our business environment. This is probably possible because the word “ryshfet” (bribe) is common in both the Turkish and Albanian languages. Moreover, these companies understand the policies of family employment very well. This connects perfectly with the principle of entrepreneurship – most companies in Kosovo are established on healthy household foundations, and regardless of millions of euros of annual turnover, they are mainly managed by family members. In short, Turkish companies help pave the way for the Strong Party to easily eradicate corruption through its legalization as a normal daily activity in our country.
Honorable Prime Minister Erdogan, please accept my strongest salutation.
Best Regards,
Visar Arifaj,
Legendary President of the Strong Party
