Kick = When user gets thrown (kicked) out from a channel due to violation.

Voice (+v) = When a channel has mode +m on, you are allowed to speak when you
are voiced. +v can also mean you are cool, serving files etc.

NetSplit = When an IRC server losts it's connection to the other servers.
Server OP = Person who gets OPed (unwanted) by an IRC server after a NetSplit.
Collision = May happen after a NetSplit when two persons are using the same
nickname in different servers. IRC Server kills both nicknames.

Flooding = Sending an overload of requests to another user to disconnect him.

Kill = Disconnection of a user, done by an IRCOP due to network violations.
K-Line = A ban from an IRC server set by an IRCOP or Admin due to violations.
G-Line = A global K-Line for network's all servers. Used often in DALNet.
Clone = Another connection to IRC server by one user. Used for eg. Flooding.
Raw Clone = (or Socket Clone) a clone which is connected to an IRC server using
raw socket connection, without starting another copy of eg. mIRC.

Bot = Used in IRC to protect and keep channels while you are offline.
Screen = Unix telnet IRC client that can be left in IRC to protect channels.
Shell = Unix account that has telnet privledges. Needed to run various bots.

Warez = Means software/files and is often traded in IRC.
FileServer = (or FServer) is used to advertise and trade files in IRC.
XDCC Server = Offering files in "DCC Packets" that you can request to download.

HTTP = Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. Web servers in the WWW use this protocol.

Winsock = Application/protocol that is used in data transfer/dialup connection.
