Since you said you don't want to be a typical tourist and are looking for something alternative and exciting,
I can suggest something:

While walking in Cair at night, it is highly recommended to chant "Macedonia, Macedonia !" and the popular
patriotic song "Едно име имаме".
The local residents there, are patriotic and deeply proud of their country. After singing for 1 minute, you can
expect a welcome group of around 10-20 people, who will surround you in a warm manner and give you
a reception booklet.

The booklet contains a couple of knifes, AK-47, a Qur'an and кече.Stab wounds are a possibility.

For any other alternative touristic sites, feel free to contact me

Mate, I was born in the Soviet Union. Thank you, but I don't need AKs)) What I would definitely like to have in MK is the food. By the way, what would you recommend? What is the typical Macedonian food?

I would like to live for some more years...
According to the last national census from 2002, Čair has 64,773 inhabitants.[1] Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
  • Albanians = 36,921 (57.0%)
  • Macedonians = 15,628 (24.1%)

Don't worry, we are just teasing ;)

Macedonia is quite safe, especially for tourists. I have been in Russia and Ukraine, and I can tell you that in Macedonia in terms of hospitality and safety things are far far better. People do their best to help out foreigners and tourists.

There is a lot to see here, Skopje and Ohrid have a lot to offer. Especially Ohrid ... (y)
You have chosen a good place to visit :)

Благодарам!
Добра нок'

See you tomorrow. I'll prepare more questions :)

Iratus

Hello dear Macedonians! My name is Georgi and I am planning to visit your wonderful country in September. I am going to spend 10 days there.
I have some questions and would highly appreciate it if you answer them.
How many days is enough to see Skopje and Ohrid? Are the cities very big?
Well I would say three days for Skopje is more of enough to get major tourist places and attraction around.
My recommendation is two days for Skopje and one day for Matka.
Ohrid in September is nice for vacation, but maybe you'll need to make quick stop in Bitola for one day, and Prilep for one more day and visit monastery Zrze near Prilep and Treskavec as well.
Should I take a bus inside the cities? How much is a ticket? What is the best way to go to Ohrid? By bus or train? How much is a ticket? What towns would you recomment to visit if I stay in Skopje and Ohrid and want to make daily trips?

You need to use bus for traveling, it's more safer and quicker way for transporting here, as of matter of fact only way to go in Ohrid is with bus or plane.
Bus ticket from Skopje to Ohrid will cost you approx. less of 10 euros.
If i need to make short 10 days travel itinerary for you will be as follow.

1st Day...Arriving in Skopje and getting around
2nd Day...Visiting Matka
3rd Day...Pick up major travel attraction in Skopje (It's famous for many Barok Sculptures builded during great imperator Grujo III)
4th Day...Visit Jovan Bigorski monastery and Rajcica as well and arrive to Ohrid latter same day.
5th Ohrid
6th Sveti Naum
7th Ohrid
8th Bitola
9th Prilep with visiting of monastery Zrze and Treskavec as well.
10th day Come back to Skopje

I might have other questions too :)
By the way, I would love to meet real Macedonians too. My native language is Russian and I am fluent in English. So, anyone who would like to have a chat and drink tea or coffee with me is more than welcome!
Hope to see your replies soon.

Well it's little handicap 'coze you don't know Serbian, that will work great for girls, but maybe they will bought your Russians, who knows?
Hope this will help you comrade, send me PM, I'll give some tips in case I'm at home when you'll arrive here.
Don't worry, you will have great time here, we're usually like new guys here, and hate each other.

Don't hesitate to ask.

Ми се чини дека типов е трол но можи да грешам , па ај и јас да го прашам нешто .

Iratus , i like to ask u something . You said that u are russian , but on your profile u wrote that u are from Baku . So my question is , are u from Azerbaijan ? I`m only curious . Btw , while u are in Macedonia u should also visit Prilep and his environment , espesialy the monasteries St. Archangel Michael and Treskavec .

Haven't seen an English post in a while. Welcome and enjoy your stay in this beautiful country. Also keep in mind that Skopje has some dark places too, and by dark I mean by places you don't want to visit, most of them are on the north side of Vardar. Also you might have some trouble finding someone who speaks English especially when asking for directions. Well if you can't find anyone who does just speak in Russian I am sure they'll understand.

Интересна работа, чим види македончето странец прво му проверува во џебот па потоа иде муабет , запознавање , кафе-пиење и т.н. Фино финo :D Nice to meet u.
