"...So we will certainly have to reinforce the midfield and defence in terms of numbers. We could need more or less three players, or four if we decide to get an Italian as well. This is what we plan to do..."

Adriano

As for the Brazilian striker, who has continuously been rumoured to have problems, and been linked with a summer move, he said: "We are still with Adriano and we're trying to find the best solution for him and us in terms of preparation for next season.

"In any case I think it would be nice for Adriano to be at Sunday’s party [which the striker was not keen to attend, wanting to return to Brazil]. I think he was just looking for a solution to recover quickly.

"Has he decided to stay? It takes two to make decisions, but I think he wants to remain, just as we want him to stay and perform at his best."

I Think I'll Retire At Inter - Vieira
"I think I will end my career here," Vieira told the French Federation website. "This is an important outfit, and I don’t think I will return as a player to France.
"A return to England? I don’t think it’s possible, although I spent some beautiful years there," said the former Arsenal man, who is currently recovering from a minor knee ligament injury.
"I don’t know the Spanish championship that well, and I can’t really see myself starting a new adventure now."

Moratti Doubtful On Adriano
Both Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o of Barcelona are targets, without forgetting that Suazo is allegedly very close to a move (there will be a meeting on Friday).

Inter To Use Recoba To Net Chivu?

Inter Watch Marseille Starlet Nasri

While Madrid may have more experienced targets for the summer transfer market, they are keen to ensure that they do not miss out on Nasri, according to a report in L'Equipe.

United and Inter have also had scouts watching on a regular basis and if the French club do signal that they are willing to do business, a bidding frenzy could be sparked.

Nasri has already been compared to Zinedine Zidane, both for his ability and the fact that he is also from Marseille and has Algerian ancestry.

Matrix Reloaded :pos::pos::pos:(фаца наслов нема шо)

He’s world famous for an unpleasant remark about Zinedine Zidane’s sister and for being eventually head-butted by the French-Algerian genius of football. In all honesty Marco Materazzi is also a quality player on the rise, capable of great performances in last summer's World Cup and highly instrumental in landing Inter’s fifteenth Scudetto.

Sometimes his opponents on the pitch have got reasons to dislike him, but in the end he’s a tough defender and football is not a sport for convent girls, as they say in Italy. Matrix, as he’s been nicknamed, may be seen as a virus by his foes, but to the Inter faithful he's the key to beating the system. Luca Manes dons the Raybans and decodes the latest episodes…

His goal-scoring record in the current season is far better than Adriano’s or Cruz’s – nine for Materazzi, including a fantastic brace in the Siena game which secured the title – compared to only five for the Brazilian and seven for El Jardinero. That’s hardly a surprise for Matrix-watchers. In fact throughout his career he’s been hitting the net quite constantly, being very good at taking penalties and free kicks with his left foot, not to mention his ability on the corner kicks, as he heads home very often.
It has always been like that, even when he was emerging at Perugia as a promising defender, but its only part of the Matrix story. Materazzi is also the cornerstone of a nearly unbeatable Inter defence.
It’s because of his great form and determination that Albiceleste star Walter Samuel has been elbowed onto the bench. It may also be true after the Real Madrid debacle, La Muralla (The Wall) is not the kind of player that we all admired during his brilliant pre-Spain spell.
Football is a funny old game, though – sorry for dusting off the well-worn cliché, but it is quite fitting here. In March 2006, after being knocked out by Villarreal in the Champions League quarter-finals, the Inter camp was in tatters.
You could smell failure in every hidden corner and the future looked like a big, terrifying black hole. The dressing room resembled a battlefield and many players were very uncertain about their stay at the club. Materazzi – of course – was one of them.
Ironically, he could move to …Villarreal, as the Yellow Submarine was interested in his services. He thought his days at Inter were numbered, and he didn’t want to perform for another Italian club, so why not trying again abroad.
After the positive experience he had at Everton in 1998-99 it was a tempting proposition. At Goodison Park they still have a few good memories of that tall Italian guy with a soft spot for big tattoos.
In the meantime he had a chance to compete in the World Cup, even if his name wasn’t in Lippi’s ideal starting eleven. ”I just hoped I could have a chance to play a few minutes in the group stage third match” he’s recently stated to Italian daily paper Repubblica.
By now we all know how it ended up. Materazzi did play that match – against the Czech Republic – scoring a vital goal as well, and he was one of the key factors of Italy’s incredible run towards the trophy.
The last stop was in Berlin, where he bagged another decisive goal and forced Zidane to be sent off – maybe not using an orthodox method, but I don’t think I have to mention the word 'convent' again…
Things got ”slightly” better at Inter as well. Thanks – at least in part – to Calciopoli punishments weighing down the competition Inter won the league for the first time since 1989. In July 2006 nobody was even thinking Materazzi could leave Milan.
He had to stay at Inter and get ready for another promising season, as they wanted to clinch yet another title, this time on the pitch and not in the lofty rooms of the Italian FA.
Depicted as a violent player and always ready to have an argument with referees and opponents, Materazzi looks like he’s living a sort of truce with the Italian media.
In the past they were more than willing to blast his attitude and his poor conduct, but now many of them have realized he’s not evil and that his got a great quality, as he always speaks his mind.
He wasn’t a total villain before he had matured a little bit – and he’s no saint now, but hardly an argument for a Hannibal Lector mask to be applied. Football is a game of give and take – and sometimes you have to take what people don’t want to give in a blunt fashion.
He’s got a strong character, that’s undeniable. Materazzi has also made a few clear mistakes – some massive ones like when, after a game at San Siro, he punched Siena’s defender Cirillo, who needed several stitches on his upper lip.
As a counterbalance he’s always admitted his wrongdoings, paying some hefty penalties as well – for the Cirillo affaire he got a two-month suspension.
When the events of 05/05/2002 hit home (when Inter lost at the Olimpico and let an almost sure Scudetto slip through their fingers), he was the one nearly crying and abusing Lazio players because they were beating Inter 4-2 in what was, he reckoned, ”a meaningless match for the Biancocelesti”.
He felt ”betrayed”, as in his childhood he was a Lazio supporter, but in the end maybe he’s understood that it was right like that, that his attitude was patently childish and that his opponents were right to make an effort to win that infamous game for the Inter fans.
Anyway, just to get a little revenge he scored the winner in the 4-3 goal-fest Inter-Lazio derby which took place a few weeks ago.
He’s the kind of person and player fans do tend to hate with a burning passion...unless he plays for your team. Away supporters are often not very kind towards him, insulting his mum, who unfortunately died when he was only young.
That gives him another reason to be impeccable in his performance and try to silence those ludicrous remarks, although sometimes it can spill over into red mist and consequent problems – but nowhere near as frequently as before.
At a mature 33 years of age the former Perugia skipper is ready for new challenges. One is called the Champions League, as he wants to wipe out that grin on the face of his Milanisti friends Inzaghi and Gattuso.
Matrix is reloaded, cocked and locked for the next season. What remains to be seen is if he can truly fly in Europe and lead the Nerazzurri back to freedom from seeing AC Milan walk off at Malpensa with that Cup. Is he the one?
