Midfielder ready to push for United recall after returning to fitness
Darren Fletcher is setting his sights on a return to the Manchester United starting XI after coming through two international outings unscathed. The midfielder skippered Scotland in a Euro 2012 double-header against the Czech Republic and Lithuania despite being short on match fitness.

Following a run-out in a 1-0 victory over Lithuania on Tuesday, he said: "I feel fine. I said coming up to the games that my fitness wasn't a problem and I think I have proved that over the two 90 minutes. I feel good and I'm ready to go back to my club now and somehow get back into that team. I don't think I'll walk into the team but I'm ready to play. The team are performing so well just now so I don't think the manager will be making too many changes. I've got to be patient and wait for my chance but I've been in that situation before and I know what it's all about. It's a squad game and there will be plenty of games so I'll be patient and keep myself fit and ready for when I'm called upon."
