Sir Alex Ferguson will be able to call on Rio Ferdinand and John O’Shea for Saturday’s match against Middlesbrough to ease his defensive injury concerns.
Patrice Evra was the latest name added to the list of casualties which includes Ferdinand, O’Shea, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic and Mikael Silvestre.
Evra was on the end of a late challenge from Colin Kazim-Richards and had to go off with a calf injury after 21 minutes of the 2-0 win over Sheffield United.
”It was a bad tackle, but we don't know the extent of the injury yet,” Sir Alex told Sky Sports. ”He'll have a scan in the morning.”
The good news is that Ferdinand, who has been suffering with a niggling groin problem, and O’Shea, who was out with a calf problem, will both be back at the weekend.
”I'll have Ferdinand and O'Shea back on Saturday,” added the boss. ”I could have played John against Sheffield United, but he has been doing some good work in training and he will give us some experience and strength at the back.”
Добра вест: Rio Ferdinand i John O'Shea ќе играт во сабота против Миделзборо!
