Bulgaria wants to take over Odessa region because "Ukraine will fall apart "

Bulgaria should receive Southern Bessarabia, which is part of the Odessa region, said Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of the Bulgarian Revival Party, which is called "pro-Russian".

He believes that Ukraine is "disintegrating."

Kastadinov also voiced claims to Macedonia, making statements in the context of Trump’s desire to annex Canada and the Panama Canal to the United States, which the Bulgarian party supports.

"A similar case is with Southern Bessarabia. For more than 450 years in the Bulgarian state, the indigenous population of this region (since the 6th century) are Bulgarians and to this day the majority of the population. For comparison - Ukraine has owned Southern Bessarabia for only 34 years. Therefore, there is nothing more logical than the unification of Bulgaria and Macedonia into one common state and the return of Southern Bessarabia back to Bulgaria. Ukraine is disintegrating, and at the future peace congress, which will decide the fate of the failed so-called Ukrainian statehood, Bulgaria should lay claim to Bulgarian Bessarabia," Kostadinov said.

The Ukrainian embassy is already calling on the Bulgarian authorities to condemn his words, calling them "propaganda of the Kremlin narratives."
