CHELSEA: 50 YEARS (ENGLISH LEAGUE TITLE)
It was on the Blues' 50th anniversary that the club won their first league title, led by goal machine Roy Bentley, but it was to be another 50 years before they repeated the feat. Under Jose Mourinho Chelsea kept 25 clean sheets, conceded just 15 goals, won 29 of 38 games and finished on 95 points on their way to the 2004/05 Premier League title.
MAN UNITED 26 YEARS (ENGLISH LEAGUE TITLE)
United's recent dominance began in 1993 when Alex Ferguson ended the club's long wait for a title in the Premier League's inaugural season. They retained the crown and since then have yielded 10 more, a dramatic change in fortunes from their First Division triumph under Sir Matt Busby in 1967, where they were relegated seven years later and had to wait more than a quarter of a century to get back on top of the pile
MAN CITY: 42 YEARS (FA CUP)
When Carlos Tevez lifted the trophy in May, it ended a 35-year wait for silverware as their neighbours at Old Trafford often reminded them, though it was an even longer wait for the oldest domestic cup in the world. Neil Young gave City a 1-0 victory over Leicester City in 1969 and Yaya Toure did the same in 2011
ARSENAL: SIX YEARS...
Yes, the FA Cup was the Gunners' last piece of major silverware and they're still waiting. It could be worse, though. Poor old Rochdale fans have been waiting since 1907 for their team to win anything of note, although they did win the Lancashire Combination back in 1912.
ASTON Villa: 71 YEARS (ENGLISH LEAGUE TITLE)
Villa's fabulous team of the 1980s, including Gordon Cowans, Dennis Mortimer and Peter Withe, stormed their way to the First Division title in 1981. It was Villa's seventh top flight success, but remarkably their first since 1910 and was helped by a 12-game unbeaten run midway through the season. Although, they almost lost it on the last game of the season, but league rivals Ipswich were beaten by Middlesbrough meaning Villa's defeat to Arsenal was irrelevant.
