Lazio have been handed a major boost on the eve of their Coppa Italia showdown with Sampdoria as Goran Pandev is in contention for a starting role.
The Macedonian hitman has been training well after spending almost a month on the sidelines after picking up a muscular strain in his thigh back in April against Genoa.
Il Corriere Dello Sport claims the striker trained well on Tuesday's final session with the rest of the team, and he took part in a match alongside a possible starting XI. There were fears he would miss the final, but he is looking fit to play.
Coach Delio Rossi has been trying out different schemes at Formello and he may go with the following lineup tomorrow night:
Muslera; Lichsteiner, Siviglia, Rozehnal, Kolarov; Brocchi, Dabo, Ledesma, Foggia; Pandev, Zarate.
However, the coach is likely to make a last-minute decision over Pandev.

After an understandable period of adaptation to Serie A, Montenegrin
fantasista Stevan Jovetic has finally started to show his true colours and the Viola would not hold back Mutu like they did last summer.
The ex-Inter and Juventus man seemed on the verge of joining Roma but the move collapsed at the 11th hour after president Cesare Prandelli put his foot down.
It is also suggested that the Tuscans are pondering a bid for Cagliari forward Alessandro Matri, who has positively impressed director of sport Pantaleo Corvino by netting six goals this term.
Meanwhile, Pandev has resumed training ahead of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia final between Lazio and Sampdoria and will push for a starting spot alongside Mauro Zarate.
