#Juventus was looking to avoid the risk of a possible departure of Dusan #Vlahovic in January
To that end, the board, led by Giorgio #Chiellini, intervened directly to establish a "non-aggression" pact with the forward

The key agreement states that the decision on Vlahovic's renewal or transfer is postponed until the end of the season

This gives #Juventus time to define its situation (qualification for the Champions League) and Vlahovic time to assess the market and interests (such as those from Bayern Munich)
The player has been impeccable and has responded on the field (Juventus's top scorer with 6 goals)

Despite the postponement, an internal current at Juve considers that a renewal with high figures (more than €8M net) could be an economic and sporting risk due to the Serbian's lack of historical consistency

Nevertheless, Vlahovic feels like a leader in Turin and is open to negotiating if offered project guarantees and minutes

The temporary pact was an effective solution to keep him focused on his performance

Fabio Paratici broke his silence yesterday on the capital gains scandal, that cost him a 2 year ban and cost Juventus massive damages.

All for what he says was “an accounting principle that had never been used before and hasn’t been used since”. Rightly so Paratici speaks about the nightmare of feeling like a criminal on the front pages of the papers.

Paratici then explained what we already know about the plea bargain. It was a natural choice rather than to wait another 7-8 years with a criminal trial hanging over his head.

Capital gains in Italian football has never been a punishment before and remains resoundingly unpunished today, with various open and unresolved cases between Roma and Napoli. They’re the same cases that faced Juventus but with different treatment. Capital gains were and remain a part of every financial statement, just only Juventus is punished for it.

It’s another example of the investigations, the conviction, was only served to remove Andrea Agnelli for the creation of the super league (@guido_vaciago / @tuttosport )

The 52-year-old French-Italian figure was formally appointed as the new CEO of Juventus and gave some insights into his vision of the game when speaking at the Hudl Performance Insights conference.

Among his first tasks with the Bianconeri was the decision to sack Igor Tudor and bring in Luciano Spalletti, so what does he look for in a coach?

“In the first meeting with a club, every coach will make his presentation and say everything is great, but then once he begins training, he says everything is bad,” noted Comolli.

“Now I include those phrases in the contract, to remind coaches what they had said. I explain in the meeting that this is our process, the data guides the choice of players, set plays, injury prevention, and a lot more. If they accept that, then good, otherwise we can shake hands and say goodbye.

Comolli has worked at numerous different clubs, including AS Monaco, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Fenerbahce and FC Toulouse before coming to Juve as director general in June 2025.

“I spend a good 30 per cent of my time thinking about the culture of a club, because you cannot achieve results without culture. I asked Blaise Matuidi and David Trezeguet, amongst others, what is the DNA of Juve. They all reply the same: ‘Winning.’

“The culture of a club is built from the ground up. We had a great meeting today to understand our culture. I said ‘you decide who we are, I can only give a few indications, but it starts from the ground up.’ The culture is the values of a club.”

He does not disguise his focus on data and statistical models to choose players, coaches and help every area of the sport.

“I was hired by RedBird at Toulouse to organise their data. Juve knew I would arrive with data, because that is my model. The key for the correct use of data is aligning the general manager to everyone all the way down, having someone who can act as a bridge and speak the language of the coach. If that person is a coach, and he is open to it, then the bridge works.

“At Toulouse, we would measure the mental condition of all the staff members every day to understand if there was stress, if they didn’t feel like coming to work. It was incredibly useful, and we decided not to hire those who weren’t motivated.”

Although he has worked in many different countries, Comolli admits the time at Fenerbahce was doomed to failure and he decided to walk away.

“I have been recruited by people in Japan, England, France, Italy, and if they ask me to lead their organisations, it’s because they want my culture to be theirs. If you do the same thing they were doing before, then something is not right.

“I have great respect for the local culture, but for example in Turkey, it couldn’t be changed. There was too much politics. I realised it wasn’t going anywhere.”

The plan for #Bremer: #Juventus turns to NASA!
One step at a time, defying gravity to turn a setback into a promise of rebirth. In the silence of the bianconera gym, while outside the team begins to take the measure of the new 4-3-3 designed by Luciano Spalletti, Gleison Bremer runs toward his comeback. His knee, battered by the recent meniscus injury and haunted by the ghosts of the ACL tear from a year ago, has demanded time and patience.

To get him flying again, Juventus has chosen to rely on science. Bremer has started running on the Alter G treadmill, a cutting-edge machine that harnesses technology developed by NASA. Thanks to an air compression system, this tool allows the athlete to train with a body weight reduction of up to 80%, drastically limiting the impact on the joints. A crucial detail for a player of his build and importance, especially at a time when Spalletti is forced to reinvent the defense to compensate for his absence.

Mattia #Caldara has announced his retirement from football as player at 31. #transfers

Mattia Caldara via @DiMarzio

“I signed for Juve in January 2017 but stayed at Atalanta on loan, it was the right thing to do, i wasn’t ready to play for Juve. Then when i arrived in Turin in the summer of 2018, having Chiellini and Barzagli ahead of me I knew I wouldn't find space in the team. But Giorgio (Chiellini) told me to be patient and stay, learn and grow at Juventus.”

“I ended up only staying at Juve for a few weeks, just for the summer training camp. When I learned of Milan's interest, I accepted it, but looking back, it would have been better to stay at Juve, i was weak minded and didn’t listen. It would have done me good to remain in the Juventus world, to learn from those champions, to grow by being with them even without playing much. I lacked a bit of mental strength and maturity. Maybe my career would have been different, who knows.

“It's my biggest regret, the only thing l'd change if I could go back. I went to Milan and that was the beginning of the end in my career.”

Today, Mattia Caldara has announced he has retired from football at the age of 31..
