AC Milan striker Luiz Adriano has revealed that former Shakhtar Donetsk team-mate Douglas Costa never stops training, continuing until midnight both in Ukraine and at new club Bayern Munich.

The pair enjoyed a fruitful spell together at Shakhtar before both moved on in the previous transfer window and the Milan striker has now praised the Bayern forward's voracious work ethic.

"In addition to the normal trainings we did at Shakhtar, he had a physical coach and he always worked more after practices," the Brazilian striker told Goal in an exclusive interview.

"Sometimes, even during the cold weather in Ukraine, especially at night, he kept practicing. He practiced during the night, until midnight."

Luiz Adriano also indicated that Costa has continued his hard work at Bayern, suggesting that his performances in the Bundesliga are a direct result of his previous exertions.

"I know that he still works, I know that in Bayern he still does this," the Milan forward continued.

"No wonder he is having this great moment, showing all of this in Bayern. He is reaping everything that he sowed from back then.

"And this, along with the huge quality that he already has and his speed, makes all the difference. This is helping him to conquer his space inside Bayern and in the Brazilian National Team."
