Liverpool FC legends will meet their Real Madrid counterparts in two games – including a tie at Anfield – to raise funds for the clubs’ charities.
The Reds will meet Real at the Bernabeu on June 14 before a return leg on Merseyside, with a date yet to be announced.Some of the star ex-players confirmed to play in the legends team include Luis Garcia, Vladimir Smicer, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Harry Kewell and Jamie Carragher.
The club’s all-time leading goalscorer Ian Rush will also manage the team.
Real Madrid’s team will also have a top line up of legends including, Roberto Carlos, Fernando Hierro, Claude Makelele and Emilio Butragueno.
All proceeds raised from this game will be donated to the Real Madrid Foundation, which develops and delivers social and cultural awareness programmes both in Spain and overseas.

“As vice chair of Liverpool FC Foundation I know that the funds raised from the second leg will benefit the wide range of programmes that help support youngsters and adults both locally and across the world.”
