17 years ago an unknown Frenchman became the manager of Arsenal, there were even cries of "Arsene Who?". The fears & questions quickly disappeared, he completely revolutionised the football club not just on the pitch but off it, he prolonged careers of the famous defence into their 30's & brought a mouthwatering new brand of football "Wengerball" not just to AFC but the whole league. He bought an unknown nugget called Thierry Henry & built a whole new training centre from the sale of just 1 player, he's a genius. He's gone on to give us many happy memories and achieved a lot of records, the invincibles, the doubles and so many more and whilst we haven't seen silverware in the last 8 years, we have seen through a transition to a new stadium whilst staying In the UCL and by doing so have become self sufficient, the club have been criticised but in the long run we may look back at this period & think actually the club knew what were doing, they were setting the foundations for a long term successful future. Something that has been made possible because the genius that is Arsene stayed loyal to this club & oversaw it, now we have gone past that period we are going to see the ambition we've been longing to see in last few years, Özil is just the start & Arsene deserves the chance to lead this club for a few more years and not just win things but also create more memories.
