Notice that the better the statistics of mario Gomez get, the statistics of thomas muller get worse. Muller has had his best season this year because mandzukic can hold up the ball, move around a little, open up space for the attacking midfielders, engage in combination play, and generally you know, play football.
with a better, more technically skilled version of mandy (which would be lewa) we will be the only team in the modern times to have two major consistent goalscoring players (in muller and lewandowski) at the highest level, and by that I mean the late stages of CL.
