After some months of haggling, Anderlecht have accepted United's €575,000 offer for the teenage attacker Adnan Januzaj. The Belgians had been seeking €700,000, while United's previous offer was €350,000.

Interestingly enough, when Ferguson went on to win the European Cup in 2008 Ollie from Daily Mirror completely changed his mind : He erased the last quibble about his greatness by winning the CL for a 2nd time. There weren’t many doubts anyway."

Owen Hargreaves' hopes of playing for Manchester United again have been dealt a crushing blow after he damaged his shoulder in training.
The injury plagued England midfielder had put himself in contention for a return, only for his shoulder to pop out as he challenged for a header.
The 30-year-old had X-rays and initial fears are that he has ligament damage and could be out for at least four weeks.
He has had just six minutes of first-team football since September 2008 because of two lots of knee surgery and a torn hamstring suffered in his latest Barclays Premier League comeback against Wolves on November 6.
Hargreaves has played 39 games since his £17million arrival from Bayern Munich in May 2007.
