Trump just signed the Genesis Mission executive order.
It is the largest federal AI power-grab in history.
Here are the facts, plain and simple
1. Genesis Mission = Manhattan Project for AI
• Every federal scientific dataset gets fed into one giant AI platform
• DOE supercomputers run it 24/7
• Private partners: Oracle, OpenAI, Nvidia, Microsoft, SoftBank
Goal
double federal R&D speed in 10 years, total AI dominance
2. Same week he signs a second order to kill state AI laws
• Creates an “AI Litigation Task Force” inside DOJ
• Orders lawsuits against any state that regulates AI
• Threatens to pull broadband funds (BEAD money) from non-compliant states
• Commerce Department has 90 days to publish a blacklist of “bad” state laws
• FCC and FTC get told to write rules that override the states forever
3. This directly violates the 10th Amendment
• States have introduced over 1,000 AI bills
• California and Colorado laws on bias and risk disclosure are the first targets
• Trump’s own words on Truth Social: “We MUST have one Federal Standard instead of 50 State Regulatory Regimes”
