Something to ponder upon:
In Hagakure, Yamamoto Tsunetomo writes: “The way of the samurai is found in death.” This is not nihilism. It is the recognition that by disarming death of its terror, one also disarms fear itself. In this death-facing clarity, ethical action becomes possible — not because it guarantees survival or success, but because it affirms something higher than life: integrity.
