1. Javier Hernandez Balcazar, also known as ‘El Chicharito’, was born on June 1st 1988.
2. He joined Manchester United earlier this summer and scored his first goal for his new club after coming off the bench against an American MLS All-Star team this week.
3. He is the son of Javier Hernandez senior, who represented Mexico in the 1986 World Cup finals.

9. As part of the deal to join United, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men will play a friendly game against Chivas to mark the opening of their new 45,000 stadium.
10. The deal to join United could rise to a reported £10 million and Ferguson has described Hernandez as an ‘exceptional talent’.
