Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has implied that he will not attempt to sign Germany's rising star, Mesut Ozil, in the summer transfer market.
The Old Trafford boss was at Craven Cottage on Saturday to watch a pre-season friendly between Fulham and the playmaker's club, Werder Bremen, to add to reports that he is preparing a bid for the World Cup ace.
But after United's 3-1 victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday, Ferguson said that he was only in London on a scouting mission ahead of a Premier League trip to the banks of The Thames on 22nd August.
The Scot admits he is an admirer of Ozil, who has previously said that he would relish the opportunity to move to England, but he insists that he is happy with his current squad.
Asked about his trip to Fulham, Ferguson told Sky Sports 1: "I was there to look at Fulham.
"Ozil is interesting a lot of teams but at this moment I trust the ones I've got. I've got a really good squad of players."
