FFU Executive Committee adopted a decision
On 8 May, the FFU Executive Committee held a meeting. Today, members of the FFU Executive Committee adopted a number of decisions:
- the Ukrainian Premier League Matchday 29 games, the First League Matchday 27 games, the Second League Matchday 33 games and the 2013-14 Ukrainian Cup final will be held without spectators;
- not to hold the above matches in the territory of Donetsk, Luhansk, Odesa and Kharkiv Oblasts;
- the Ukrainian Premier League and the Professional Football League should consider the request from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine regarding holding the above matches during the working days and working hours;
- the issues regarding the petition from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on organising the Ukrainian Premier League Matchday 30 games, the First League Matchday 28 games, the Second League Matchday 34 games as well as the subsequent matchdays should be further considered;
- to suspend holding the Ukrainian Premier League U-21 and U-19 games. The issue of resumption of these events should be further considered.
It should be noted that for the first time during the preparation for the Ukrainian Cup final, the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine faced the necessity of numerous reviews of adopted decisions based on the operational information from the organization’s committees, local authorities and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Under conditions of deficiency of time, the FFU Executive Committee has to make important decisions to ensure the necessary conditions and safety for the teams and fans during football matches. It is the security of participants of a football match, which is a key priority for the FFU during sports events in the territory of Ukraine.
The FFU has enough resources and possibilities to ensure the proper level of safety during the Ukrainian Cup final. The FFU is in constant contact with the local authorities and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, taking into account their recommendations when making decisions about football events.
In the near future members of the FFU Executive Committee will determine the venue of the Ukrainian Cup final via voting.
