“If Arsenal want me to sign a new contract, I will sign because I love this Club,” he said.

“I have forgotten about last season and I’m thinking about this season and I want to give my best.

During his goal celebration, Eboue revealed a message reading ‘thanks be to God’ on his undershirt.

The Ivorian may have been booked for the gesture but, for him, it was a personal duty.

“I am very, very religious,” he said. “I believe in God. "Yesterday I spoke with my priest and he told me to do that, so I said OK no problem, I will do that for my God.”

AZ Alkmaar
This is Alkmaar's first appearance in the Champions League Group Stage. Arsenal played AZ most recently in a pre-season match in August 2006. The Gunners ran out 3-0 winners on the occasion.

Olympiakos
The Greek champions reached the Group Stage having defeated Slovan Bratislava 4-0 over two legs in the Third Qualifying Round. They then beat FC Sheriff 3-0 on aggregate in their Play-Off.

Standard Liege
This is the first time Standard Liege have competed in the Champions League Group Stage. The Belgium champions eliminated Everton in the First Round of last season’s Uefa Cup, having come agonisingly close to doing the same to Liverpool in the Champions League Third Qualifying Round.
Arsenal beat Liege 7-0 away in the 1993/94 Cup Winners' Cup. The scoreline remains Arsenal's biggest away victory.

Keep Rooney quiet and Gunners can win

Arsenal have been brilliant so far this season. They've done everything that's been asked of them and I really believe they can win at Old Trafford.

Manchester United haven't been quite so clever this year. They allowed Birmingham too many chances at Old Trafford and then they had that shocking result at Burnley. They beat Wigan 5-0 last weekend but I thought the score was a bit harsh; Wigan had chances to score and United had a mad rush of goals at the end.

Arsenal: is a big win on the cards?

United will get stronger when Edwin van der Sar returns and they have been nowhere near as solid as they usually are without Rio Ferdinand. For me, he is their main defender and they miss him.
They obviously miss a certain Cristiano Ronaldo too and I don't think they are as strong as they used to be in midfield. Arsenal might be without Cesc Fabregas but I still think they are a better passing team in midfield right now.

The biggest factor of all is whether Arsenal can stop Wayne Rooney. Thomas Vermaelen hasn't come up against anybody even similar to Rooney yet and there could be a big shock in store for him. A lot will depend on that battle because if Rooney plays well then United have every chance.
He didn't get much help from his fellow forwards at Burnley, but I'm sure the strike partnerships will click. However, it needs to be sooner rather than later because Chelsea have started strongly.
People say there's a long way to go but this is a big game. If Chelsea win on Saturday and United lose, then they will be six points behind already.

In the race

At the moment Arsenal are very much in that title race as well. They've played so well this season and I don't think they got enough credit for last week's win at Parkhead. That was an unbelievable result and it slipped under the radar a little bit.
So far, so good but I do fear for Arsenal when injuries start creeping in later in the season. But right now they couldn't be playing better and they are full of confidence so this is the perfect time to go to Old Trafford.
At home, Arsenal would be expected to take it to United, but at Old Trafford Arsenal can counter-attack - and they are doing that much better this season.
They are breaking with pace and getting people in the box - and I think they will definitely get a result.

Несмеат да згрешат сега кога сите ги поставија за фаворити. Одамна се нема случено вакво нешто, затоа очекувам многу чуден натпревар. Или Арсенал ќе го демолира Манчестер Јунајтед или Арсенал ќе загуби. Тесна победа не верувам дека ќе има.

Важно е да се постигне првиот гол, после е многу полесно.

Меч со две острици е тоа што групата е лесна.Кога ке се пласираме во 8мина финале ке не чекаат многу тешки екипи...
 
4 days until the deadline. Wenger must spend if Arsenal want to win the title

With only 4 days until the transfer deadline, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has to decide NOW if he feels the squad is currently good enough to win the title.
Wenger has the money to spend on fresh players after the summer sales of Toure and Adebayor. But will he spend it?
Its been a great start to the season and after hinting all summer that he would sign new 1/2 new players the time has come for Wenger to show his hand in the transfer market.
Wenger has recently ruled out moves for summer targets Chamakh, Hangeland & Matuidi so does that mean that Wenger is happy with the current squad and wont sign any new players? I think so!
Personally i feel we still need 2 players. A CB and a CM, My reasons for this is clear, If Gallas gets injured i dont think the likes for Silvestre & Djourou are good enough to deal with the likes of Drogba so we need a powerful CB.
As for a CM, Alex Song has had a great start to the season but who else in the team can cover that defensive role? lets remember that he will be off to the Africans cup as well, So we must sign a ball winner in midfield. I still feel we need that Flamini type ball winner in the middle of the park at Arsenal and i have hoped that Wenger would address this position this summer.
Like i said its been a great start to the season but lets not forget that we got off to a wonderful start 2 seasons ago and were top at xmas only to fad away and finish 4th. That’s why i feel we MUST strengthen before the deadline and build on this start and push on towards the title
 
Точно дека во овие неколку дена Венгер мора да купи еден барем.... ама сега набитно е... Најлесна група иаме а?
Ај се надевам дека нема да имаме изненадувања ... и дека ќе извадиме прво место во групава но фудбал е не смееме да кажеме ништо пред време :toe:
Повторно ќе кажам иаме среќа за во групнава ждрепка :helou:
Ајде само со позитивни мисли да се насочиме кон манчестер и олд трафорд :smir:
 
Незнам со кој мисли да почне(Алекс Фергусон) али Рио нема да игра и тоа е голема загуба.А ако почне со Гигс и Сколс,Флечер ние ке ги уништиме.А Руни и Овен или Бербатов незнам како ке поминат кај Галас и Вермаелен.Јас гледам победа од 3 гола разлика.РВП еден и Аршавин кој погоди завчера е тој може да е повеке релаксиран и опуштен..

Осеќам дека ќе игра младинава по натпреварите од ЛШ,со оглед каква група имаме пред себе.Веројатно на натпреварите најстариот ќе има околу 21 година :)
