How the Zionists have shifted the goalposts in Lebanon to portray a defeat as a victory

Zionist forces have been badly mauled in Lebanon.
Their initial goal to push Hezbollah back to the Litani river and destroy their military capacity has failed utterly. IOF forces are still miles from the river, and Hezbollah is putting up ferocious resistance. The closest the Zionist forces came was a hill named El Hammes only a few miles north of the border near the town of Khiam. From staging points near Metula, the IOF sought to take this strategic hill to prevent Hezbollah from having a direct line of sight on the border, which they use for ATGM attacks.

During a night attack on October 28th, the Zionist units fell into an ambush and were badly beaten. Zionist armor, constrained to operating from roads due to it’s extreme weight, is an easy target for Hezbollah anti-tank teams firing from concealed positions. Three Merkava tanks were destroyed in the fighting and the IOF suffered dozens of causalities. Under sustained artillery fire, the badly mauled IOF withdrew back to the lowlands and wadis near Wazzani and Ghajar.
The once mighty force who terrorized and levelled Gaza has been repeatedly stymied by Hezbollah. Constant IED attacks mean that the Zionist invaders are slowed to a crawl, laboriously checking and clearing each individual building they encounter as they fall into ambush after ambush.
Hezbollah has proven to be a well trained and formidable force, making routine use of combined arms tactics the likes of which were not seen in Gaza. While the resistance in Gaza would shoot and run, Hezbollah routinely carries out sophisticated, multi-stage ambushes that take advantage of the combined power of artillery, anti-tank rockets and small arms for maximum effect. The armored spearheads are stopped with IEDs and anti-tank missiles while the now trapped infantry is raked with rockets and pre-sighted mortars. Once they have used all their ammo, Hezbollah fighters retreat back into their tunnels before the Zionist fire support arrives.

During such an attack, the typical response from the victims is to call for fire support. However, Zionist attack helicopters will not operate near the border due to fears of Hezbollah anti-aircraft teams. This means that very expensive fighter-bombers bear the full burden of providing fire support to the infantry. By the time the aircraft can get into position and attack, the Hezbollah fighters are long gone. IOF aircraft worth tens of millions drop bombs worth millions on empty bunkers, adding insult to injury.
These ambushes are simply a more sophisticated version of classic guerrilla tactics codified by Mao Zedong and refined by the Vietnamese during their struggle for national liberation. They allow small Hezbollah units to defeat far larger Zionist forces. To wit, it has been confirmed by Hebrew channel 12 news reporter Nir Dvori (who once gloated that Nasrallah died in agony) that 3 Hezbollah fighters ambushed and destroyed an entire Zionist platoon of 20 soldiers, killing or wounding all of them.
Their failure to capture El Hammes was the straw that broke the IOF’s back. Zionist troops are now retreating from Southern Lebanon with nothing to show for it. Most of them have already been withdrawn from Lebanon, with only remnants of the 36th and 91st remaining. Despite this, the Zionists have claimed victory, a statement echoed by their loyal thralls in the western media.
