KARLSRUHE, Germany — In a widely followed ruling on Wednesday, Germany’s Constitutional Court upheld the legality of Berlin’s rescue packages for debt-stricken euro zone countries, but said any future bailouts must be approved by a parliamentary panel.

Германскиот суд одлучи денес дека механизмот за перманентна помош (European Stability Mechanism )со кој фактички Германија ги финансира пропаднатите економии во ЕУ не е против германскиот устав.

Судот се изјасни дека легално правно германските политичари може да печатат пари и да им ги даваат на разноразни јужни и останати.

Сепак останува главниот проблем, печатењето пари за да купуваат државни обврзници не е долгорочно решение, туку купување време.

With the ECB ready to buy short term debt in the secondary markets in unlimited size, and the ESM capable of buying medium/longer term debt, there is a measure of stability in the EZ, for the moment, though these policies are far from being a permanent solution. The EZ needs to implement some growth measures. In addition, at E500bn, the ESM is insufficient for its task and will have to be leveraged, but that’s a story for another day.​

That last is the germane point. The bottom line for Europe (and the U.S. for that matter) remains that all these bailout funds and central-bank support nets are only time-buying measures. They buy time for politicians to make the hard decisions, the so-called more-Europe, less-Europe issue. But it’s time they been wasting while Europe wallows in a state somewhere between recession and depression.
